1.200 teachers from the country begin their training to teach professions of the future to primary school students!

Digital education is a compulsory subject for primary school students in all educational institutions in the country. Launched in 2018, the initiative aimed to provide children with computer science, technology, and robotics training, to cultivate in them a passion for STEM education, and to encourage them to choose one of future professions. The program was launched following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the National Association of ICT Companies, and Tekwill project for development of digital education activities in the general education.   

As of 26th of July, nearly 1200 teachers in the country are attending  the Digital Education curriculum so that in the fall they can share with their students computer knowledge, develop skills in the field of technology and robotics,  and  nurture their interest in information technology.

Teaching period: July 26 – August 6, 2021 (in total 8-10 classes - 2 hours per session)

Presentation of projects for the graduation of the training program: August 13 – 20, 2021.

After the ending of the training program, teachers will have 7-10 days at their disposal to draft their final projects that will confirm the quality of the acquired new digital knowledge / skills.

Results of final projects will be announced in September.

In 2018, the Memorandum of Understanding for development of digital education activities in the general education was signed between the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the National Association of ICT Companies, and Tekwill project. The agreement envisages support for the development of training materials required for the implementation of digital education.
